    • The Plain Language Big Book and the term "service bodies" were approved for use, supporting clearer translations for non-English-speaking fellows.

    • The Serenity Statement was added as one of OA's suggested prayers, making meetings more inclusive of atheist and agnostic members.

    • The OA Preamble was revised to explicitly include anorexics, bulimics, chewers-and-spitters, and others who don't identify with the term "compulsive overeating."

    • The Unity with Diversity Checklist and Healing the Mind, Body, and Spirit: Mental Health and Recovery in OA received the Conference Seal of Approval.

    • An emergency motion passed requiring WSO to resume issuing License 2 by September 1, 2026, so translations of OA literature can move forward for fellows around the world.

    • 47th Annual Region 2 Virtual Convention — July 10–12, 2026. Attending and spreading the word is one way to support our fellows in Mexico and across the border while supporting your own recovery.

    • A Call for Submissions for a Young Adult category of Lifeline articles is coming. Watch for the flyer.

• Please make sure to let your treasurer's know when making donations please remember that it is a two step process 1) Filling in your meeting information and then when you press submit 2) you fill out the payment information and submit.

• Looking for people interested in joining the 2027 OA BDP committee - please email bdp@oalaig.org 

• Recordings still available for purchase $69.99 with digital worksheets for all workshops or $10 for individual sessions

• If you attend zoom meetings in other areas, please let them know these recordings include all the workshops and the digital handouts to be used in their intergroups.
